(1)    GRAVEL IS ROUND AND BROWN, LIMESTONE IS GRAYISH-WHITE. 

(2)    WASHED GRAVEL IS 3,400 LBS PER YD. WASHED LIMESTONE IS 2,850 LBS PER YD.

(3)    LIMESTONE IS TYPICALLY USED IN DRIVEWAYS BECAUSE ITS HARD, LIGHT AND ANGULAR.

(4)    GRAVEL IS TYPICALLY USED FOR BACKFILL WHERE DRAINAGE IS IMPORTANT.

(5)    GRAVEL CAN CERTAINLY BE USED IN DRIVEWAYS, ITS EARTHLY TONES ARE ATTRACTIVE.

-Most commonly used driveway/parking lot stone.  Big enough to hold up against traffic and to used as grading under concrete.  Also good to backfill for trenches.
-Good for truck traffic and parking lots.
-Base stone for driveways, parking lots, etc. and can be used for water erosion.
-Sometimes used for base under paver stones and for animal pens, stalls and arenas.  Compacts well.
-Most commonly used as base for pavers, over culvert pipes or to choke base (1's and 2's). Compacts well.
-Most commonly used for base, over culverts or to choke base (1's and 2's).  Compacts well.
